Imprint Colour install automated Slitter, Cutter and Creaser

Our fully automated Duplo DC-618 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser is a compact yet powerful all-in-one finishing solution designed for today’s digital printer. With the ability to process up to 6 slits, 30 cuts and 20 creases in one pass. The DC-618 delivers full-bleed applications up to 23 sheets per minute without the white borders and toner cracking for a clean finish. We can produce an array of on-demand applications with ease including 24-up business cards, gate-fold invitations, direct mailers, brochures, book covers, and so much more. The cutting function is set up in the new Duplo DC 618 job creator program enabling the Duplo DC 618 to be a fully automated cutting and creasing machine.

With the easy-to-use Windows PC user interface, our operators can program jobs with ease. We can make quick adjustments and save an unlimited number of jobs onto the hard drive for instant changeover. Jobs can be reviewed and edited even while the DC-618 is running, further reducing our set-up time and increasing efficiency.

The DC 618 has a built-in CCD scanner, a staple in Duplo’s range of Slitter/Cutter/Creasers that can be used to recall any job stored in the memory simply by reading the printed barcode and performing changeovers automatically.

With its multifunctional capability, automatic set-up and ease of use, the DC-618 allows us to produce jobs quickly and with fewer machines and fewer operators. Our press operator can keep the press running while also reducing bottlenecks in finishing, making Imprint Colour more productive and more efficient.
